How it all began

Benoît Quéro, born in Brittany in 1957, began his artistic journey in Rennes. Already in his early years, his interest in the art of light was awakened, inspired by the renowned cinematographer Henry Alekan and the lighting designer François-Eric Valentin. These formative encounters shaped Quéro's understanding of light as a narrative and artistic medium. He realized that light is more than just illumination - it is a tool for telling stories and evoking emotions.

Founding of “Spectaculaires”
and international successes

In 1986, Quéro founded the association Spectaculaires, a community of lighting designers and technicians dedicated to innovative lighting design. Under his leadership, Spectaculaires became a pioneer in monumental light projection and achieved international recognition through impressive light installations in iconic locations around the world. The combination of cutting-edge technology and artistic vision enabled Quéro to create breathtaking experiences that cast architecture in a new light and amaze audiences.
